Eleven messy bullets in. This came out.

What Maya typed

  • took over the team in Feb when Dan left, 6 people now 9
  • CSAT went from 86 to 93 (q1 -> q3)
  • first response time 4h -> 51 min after we changed the queue rules
  • wrote the macros library, 140 macros, everyone uses it now
  • hired 3 (Priya, Tom, Jules) all passed probation
  • ran the churn-save pilot with sales, saved ~$210k ARR (their number)
  • bad Q2 — two people off sick, backlog hit 900, took 5 weeks to clear
  • started the Monday 15-min standup, people like it
  • did the Zendesk -> Intercom migration over a weekend, no downtime
  • still not great at saying no to product asks, took on too much in Q3
  • want: senior team lead / manager title, and the pay band that goes with it

What she pasted into her review

I took over the support team in February when Dan left, and my first job was to keep the service steady through a handover nobody had planned for. The team has grown from six to nine people since then, and every measure we track is better than it was in January.

Customer satisfaction rose from 86% in Q1 to 93% in Q3. The biggest single driver was a change to the queue rules I proposed in March: tickets are now routed by product area and age rather than first-come, first-served, and the median first response time fell from about four hours to 51 minutes. The second driver was the macros library. I wrote the first 60 macros myself, set a format for the rest, and the team now has 140 that everyone uses; new starters are answering tickets unaided within their first week instead of their third.

… and three more sections: strengths, areas for development, goals for next year, with the ask for Senior Team Lead written plainly. Then a one-page brief for the meeting.

Three questions people ask.

Will it sound like me?

Yes. We write only from the facts and words you give us, in the tone you pick, and nothing is added that you did not tell us. You read it before you submit it and one round of changes is free.

What do I need to give you?

Your job title, your company's review headings or questions if it has them, your wins as rough bullet points with any numbers you have, the hard parts of the year, and what you want next. Eleven messy bullets is plenty; the sample started from exactly that.

My company has a set template or word limit. Does that work?

That is the normal case. Paste the headings or questions and the word limit into the form and the document comes back in that shape, ready to paste in.
